A free, passion-driven tool built for drone pilots in Romania who deserve better than what the official maps offer.
A small team, a big idea.
UAV Base is a project built by a small team with limited resources but a clear conviction: drone pilots in Romania needed a better tool than what currently exists. We are pilots, enthusiasts, and people who believe that technology can simplify drone flights.
We believe that with good feedback and a little time, we can build a truly useful tool for all pilots — beginners and experienced alike.
The map that should have existed years ago.
ROMATSA and AACR (Romanian Civil Aviation Authority) provide official information, but their interfaces and tools leave much to be desired. We believe that Romanian pilots deserve a clearer, easier to use, and more accessible map — and since no one else seemed willing to build it, we did it ourselves.
It is not a perfect tool. But it is a necessary step forward — one that should have been taken long ago. An improved map was needed for both novice and experienced pilots.
We want UAVBase to become the go-to tool for drone pilots across Romania. Every new feature, every fix, every improvement starts from one simple principle: make pilots’ lives easier. If you have feedback, ideas or suggestions, we’re all ears — don’t hesitate to reach out.

We always recommend checking official sources — ROMATSA, AACR and applicable EU legislation — before any flight. UAVBase is a guidance tool, not a substitute for official documentation.
